Adobe Canpus-Wide License

Basic Information

Based on a canpus-wide license agreement with Adobe, you can use Adobe Creative Cloud (excluding some cloud services).

To use this service, you will need to register for a group with an ITC paid service whose administrator is a faculty member. Each group is required to pay a portion of the license contract fee as a share, depending on the type or number of licenses used.

If you are a student, please use a PC in the Information Technology Center training room or library study room, or have a license assigned to you by the administrator of your registered group.

License Type

There are two types of Adobe canpus-wide licenses.

Personal License

This is a license granted individually to the 電通大Adobe Federated ID . You can use Adobe CC apps and services distributed by Adobe (with some restrictions). There are no restrictions on location or type of device (PC, etc.) for use.

Shared Device Licensing

This is a license for using the Adobe CC application on university-owned PCs installed on campus. ****Cloud services are not available. It cannot be used off-campus, including remote access such as VPN. Use the dedicated installer distributed by the Information Technology Center to install Adobe CC for Shared Device Licensing on the campus shared PC. Usage locations are limited to the campus network.

To use the app, you must log in using your 電通大Adobe Federated ID . There is no need to assign a personal license to the 電通大Adobe Federated ID .

電通大Adobe Federated ID

When using applications based on the Adobe canpus-wide license contracted by our university, you must log in with your 電通大Adobe Federated ID, regardless of the license type (Personal license, Shared Device Licensing).

電通大Adobe Federated ID format

UEC Account ID@gl.cc.uec.ac.jp (Same format as UEC cloud account)

電通大用Adobe Federated ID is automatically issued to all members of our university when a UEC cloud account is issued. The ID and password for login are the same as your UEC cloud account.

Fee

You will be required to pay the following amount as a share of the license contract fee for each type of license.

Personal license

10,000 yen/year per license

Shared Device Licensing

30,000 yen/year per group

Caution

  • Regarding shared device licenses, there is no limit to the number of devices installed per group, but the upper limit on the number of devices installed for the entire university is determined by contract. Please use with moderation. If the number of licenses is exceeded, you may be asked to uninstall the application from devices that are used less frequently.

  • If you have a history of using the service even for a short period of time within the fiscal year, we will ask you to pay the annual fee. please note.

How to Use

(ITC Paid Service) Use Adobe CC with a Personal License

This is how to use it using a Personal License. You can use it by following the steps below.

  1. (First time only) Register for ITC paid service group

Please register a new group or change the registration details according to User Registration and Changes (ITC Paid Service Group Registration/Change) . When registering/changing a group,

  • The number of personal licenses required for faculty and staff in Adobe 個人用(教職員用) (Adobe Personal (For Faculty and Staff))

  • The number of personal licenses required for faculty and staff in Adobe 個人用(学生用) (Adobe Personal (For Student))

please enter the above information.

Caution

For personal licenses, a fee will be charged depending on the number of licenses registered. Please pay attention to the number of registrations.

  1. Check group registration notification and group number

Once group registration is complete, the Information Technology Center will contact the group administrator. Please check the notified group number.

  1. Register a personal license to a user

Please email the UEC account of the person using the personal license to support@cc.uec.ac.jp according to the Instructions for Registering/Unregistering a Personal License .

  1. Install the app

When you receive a notification from the Information Technology Center that license activation has been completed, log in with your UEC cloud account from Adobe Creative Cloud , and download and install the product.

  1. Log in to the app

Launch the app and log in to the app by following the instructions on How to Log In to the App/Service . Only while logged in The product will be activated and the app will be available for use.

Hint

Up to two devices can be logged in at the same time. If you log in to three or more devices, you will be automatically logged out from the device to which you were logged in the most recently.

(ITC Paid Service) Using Adobe CC on a shared terminal in a laboratory, etc.

This is a method for using a Shared Device Licensing in a laboratory, etc. You can use it by following the steps below.

  1. (First time only) Register for ITC paid service group

Please register a new group or change the registration details according to User Registration and Changes (ITC Paid Service Group Registration/Change) . When registering/changing a group,

  • Check 利用する (Use) for Adobe 共有デバイス (Adobe Shared Device)

  1. Check group registration notification

Once group registration is complete, the Information Technology Center will contact the group administrator.

  1. Download and install the dedicated installer for shared device licensing

After registration is complete, download the dedicated installer from https://www.cc.uec.ac.jp/in/adobe_pkgs/ and install it using the group administrator’s UEC account.

  1. Connect your PC to the campus network, start the app, and log in.

**After connecting the campus shared PC to the campus network, **start the app and log in to the app according to How to Log In to the App/Service . All apps will be available while logged in.

Caution

  • The 電通大Adobe Federated ID used for login does not require personal license registration.

  • Please be sure to connect to the campus network when logging in. If you are not connected to the campus network, you will not be able to use the app. If you are unable to connect to the campus network for an extended period of time, you will also be unable to use the app.

Note

It is only up to step 3 that you need to use an administrator account. When logging in in step 4, please use your UEC cloud account.

(Anyone can use it) Using Adobe CC in PC Classrooms (exercise classrooms, study rooms)

Adobe CC is installed with a shared device license on the PCs installed in the 演習教室・自習室. Anyone can log in to the classroom PC, start the app, and log in to the app by following the instructions on How to Log In to the App/Service .

  • No personal license required

When registering a group, as necessary from the 有償ライセンスの申請 (Paid License Application),

  • The number of personal licenses required for faculty and staff in Adobe 個人用(学生用) (Adobe Personal (For Student))

  • If you want to use Adobe 共有デバイス (Adobe shared device), check 「利用する」 (Use).

Warning

  • The group number is notified to the group administrator in the registration completion notification when registering for the ITC paid service.

  • For both individual licenses for teachers and students, we will process the registration process up to the number of licenses specified at the time of group registration. If the upper limit is exceeded, further registrations will not be processed.

How to Log In to the App/Service

To use Adobe applications provided under the Adobe canpus-wide license, you must log in using your 電通大Adobe Federated ID . The ID format of the 電通大Adobe Federated ID is the same as the UEC cloud account.

  1. Enter your Adobe ID

You will be asked to enter your Adobe ID, so enter your 電通大Adobe Federated ID (same format as your UEC cloud account).

  1. Certification

To authenticate your identity, we will authenticate using your UEC cloud account.
