Paid eduroam

Basic Information

This is a paid eduroam account issuing service.

At our university, regular eduroam allows faculty and staff members to self-issue and use their own eduroam-dedicated account as a “personal eduroam account”. If other members, such as students, wish to use eduroam, the faculty member will issue a ``guest eduroam account’’ with a limited period of use.

This service provides all members, including students, with an eduroam-dedicated account equivalent to their personal eduroam account, by having the applicant faculty and staff bear a portion of the costs necessary to maintain the system. This service provides publishing services.

Caution

To use this service, you need to register with ITC paid service. The registration process may take several days, so please allow plenty of time.

Application Procedure

An application is required to use paid eduroam.

The required application will differ depending on the user’s registration status as an ITC paid service user.

For those who are not registered as an ITC paid service user:

ITC Paid Service User Registration/Update Application Please enter the necessary information in the form and submit. As soon as the procedure is completed, you will be notified by email (subject: “ITC有償サービス ユーザー登録完了のお知らせ”).

For those who are registered as ITC paid service users
and have applied for paid eduroam at the time of registration application:

No additional application is required.

and have not applied for paid eduroam at the time of registration application:

ITC Paid Service User Registration/Update Application Please enter the necessary information in the form and submit. As soon as the procedure is completed, you will be notified by email (subject: “ITC有償サービス ユーザー登録内容変更のお知らせ”).

Caution

  • Even if you are registered as an ITC paid service group administrator, you may not be registered as an ITC paid service user.

  • Before applying, please be sure to read ITC paid services

How to Use

The usage is the same as How to Connect to eduroam. However, please use the username and password you received via email at the time of registration, not the one for your UEC account.

March 1st to the end of February of the following year

Usage Fee

2,000 yen (per period of use)

  • Due to transfer procedures, The service usage period is different from the normal fiscal year

  • If you wish to use the service for multiple years, please complete the renewal procedure by the end of February every year. As the renewal date approaches, we will send you a notification along with the ITC Paid Service Continuation Application Form.

  • The usage fee is a fixed amount for each service usage period, regardless of the usage registration (renewal) date.

  • Fees will be transferred in early March of each year, including usage fees for other paid services such as large format printing.
